Monday, February 3, 2020, the American Academy in Rome hosts a Shoptalk with Alexis Wang, Donald and Maria Cox/Samuel H. Kress Foundation Rome Prize Fellow in Medieval Studies, and Samiya Bashir, Joseph Brodsky Rome Prize in Literature, a gift of the Drue Heinz Trust.

I have been working to expand the containing walls of what we allow as POETRY. Taking into account our historical moment, our technological moment, our colonial moment, our anthroposcenic moment, our poetic and antipoetic moment, what kind of poetry does my bodymind need to make and what might that poetry make possible?
