In celebration of Lambda Literary’s continued crucial community work, new Executive Director Samiya Bashir wants to raise use her fifty-somethingth birthday as an occasion to raise fifty-something thousand dollars for Lambda Literary.
Lambda Literary has been meaningful to so many and at its heart is a celebration of who we are. In her new position, Samiya Bashir is stepping into that celebration and bringing herself! Your donations help support all of Lambda’s efforts, from support for emerging writers to the annual awards recognizing LGBTIQA+ literary excellence, to Samiya’s new efforts to build and launch an emergency writers’ fund.
And…we get to P-A-R-T-Y!
October 29th, from 9pm to Midnight at Pangea in the East Village, we are celebrating with Hors D’oeuvres, queer conviviality and a reading & performance from Ronaldo V. Wilson.
It's Halloween Weekend so Costumes are Welcome in the spirit of the season, but not required.
Because space is limited, we are asking for advance registration. Donation is NOT required for registration. Because no registered attendants will be turned away for lack of funding support, we have created three ticketing types, allowing you to get in where you fit in:
